Meetsy for Good

For nonprofits & community organizations

Bring people together.
Give something back.

A neighborhood cleanup. A fundraiser for a cause you love. A gathering that makes a difference.

Create a home for your nonprofit's events, invite your community, and give new people a reason to get involved.

Taking donations or selling tickets through Zeffy? Make your event first, then open it and go to Settings → Tickets & donations through Zeffy to paste your campaign link. You can add it any time, including after the event is live.

How it works

Zeffy eligibility and country availability apply.

A little planning. A lot of possibility.

  1. 01

    Make it yours

Add your flyer, tell your story, and share what you're bringing people together to do.

  2. 02

    Add a way to support

Keep it free, or paste your Zeffy campaign link in the event's Settings, under Tickets & donations through Zeffy, if your organization is eligible with Zeffy.

  3. 03

    Bring your community

Share your Meetsy event and welcome people who want to get involved.

The people behind the cause

Every one of these starts the same way: somebody makes a flyer and asks.

40 bags of litter, one Saturday morning.
A monthly meal, cooked by whoever can make it.
Sixty people, twelve volunteers, no charge.
The walk that funded the first year.

Illustrative flyers. We'll feature real gatherings here once the organizations running them have said yes.

Good things happen when people show up.

Give your next gathering a place to begin.

Bring your community together on Meetsy. Eligible nonprofits can link their Zeffy campaign to sell tickets or take donations.

Questions organizers ask

Do we have to be a registered nonprofit?

Not to use Meetsy. Any community group or organization can make a page and host events here, including ones that are just getting started or run informally. We don't ask for an EIN, a TIN or a charity registration number, and there's no application to pass.

Do we have to take money at all?

No. Plenty of what goes on here is a clean-up, a meal, a meeting. Free events and RSVPs cost nothing on Meetsy, there's no limit on how many you run, and you never need a Zeffy account to host one.

Do we need a Zeffy account?

Only if you want to sell tickets or take donations. Meetsy doesn't create one for you. You set it up with Zeffy directly, and the campaign stays yours.

Can every group use Zeffy?

No, and that part isn't up to us. Zeffy sets its own eligibility rules, decides which countries it operates in, and verifies organizations itself. Hosting on Meetsy doesn't qualify you for Zeffy, so check with Zeffy before you plan around it. Everything else on Meetsy works either way.

What does Meetsy charge us?

Nothing for this. Meetsy's platform fee applies to tickets sold through Meetsy's own checkout, and a linked Zeffy campaign isn't that. We don't handle the money and we don't take a share of it. Anything Zeffy charges is a separate matter between you and Zeffy.

Who actually handles the payment?

Zeffy does, on their own site. Your supporter taps through from your Meetsy event page and pays there, and the funds reach your organization through your Zeffy account. Card details never touch Meetsy.

Who handles refunds?

You do, in Zeffy. Because the payment never passes through Meetsy, we can't refund it for you.

Does a Zeffy purchase show up in our Meetsy guest list?

Not yet, and this is the one to plan around. Today it's a link, not a connection: Zeffy buyers aren't in your Meetsy guest list, ticket availability on Meetsy doesn't go down, and Zeffy tickets can't be scanned by the Meetsy door scanner. Work from Zeffy's own list on the night. Joining the two up properly is the next piece of work.
