Who we are
Meetsy is an events platform based in Newark, New Jersey. People use Meetsy to discover events, buy tickets, RSVP, join communities, and design flyers.
These terms are an agreement between you and Meetsy. By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Meetsy.
Meetsy is a platform, not the organiser
Most events on Meetsy are created and run by other people — the hosts. Meetsy provides the tools to publish an event, sell tickets and message attendees. We are not the organiser of those events, we are not present at them, and we do not control what happens there.
The host is responsible for their event: that it goes ahead, that it is as described, that the venue is suitable and lawful, that they hold any licences or insurance required, and for anything that happens while it runs.
Where Meetsy itself is named as the host of an event, we are the organiser of that event and carry the organiser responsibilities described here.
You attend events at your own risk. Meet in public places where you can, tell someone where you are going, and use your judgement about who you meet.
Your account
You need an account to buy tickets, RSVP, host, or join a community. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. Individual events may set their own age limits, and the host enforces those at the door.
You can delete your account by contacting us. Some records — orders, tickets and payment records — are kept where we are required to keep them.
Tickets and payment
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers never reach Meetsy's servers and we never store them. Ticket prices are set by the host; the fees added at checkout are shown to you before you pay.
A ticket is a licence to attend that event, not property. It is issued to you with a QR code and is checked at the door.
Refunds are the host's decision unless the law says otherwise. If an event is cancelled by the host, they are responsible for refunding it. Contact the host first; contact us if you cannot reach them.
If a payment is reversed or charged back, the ticket it paid for stops being valid.
If you host an event
You are responsible for your event and for what you publish about it. Describe it accurately, price it clearly, and honour the tickets you sell.
You must have the right to use everything you upload — photos, artwork, music references and logos included.
Money from your ticket sales is paid out through Stripe to the account you connect. You are responsible for your own taxes.
If you change the date, time or location, the people holding tickets are told automatically. If you cancel, you are responsible for refunding them.
We can remove an event that breaks these terms, is unlawful, or is unsafe.
Meetsy Pro
Meetsy Pro is an optional subscription for the design tools — the full template library, the AI flyer designer, and premium effects. Hosting events, selling tickets and RSVPs are free and are not part of Pro.
Pro starts with a free trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, it renews automatically at the price shown until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your billing page and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Designs you made while subscribed remain yours. Events you already published keep their artwork.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you upload. You give Meetsy permission to show it where it needs to appear — on your event page, in the feed, in community chats, and in previews when someone shares a link.
Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual involving minors, or that impersonates someone else. Do not use Meetsy to scam people or to sell things that have nothing to do with your event.
We can remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. Community chats carry automated safety reminders, and reports come to us.
Things we do not promise
Meetsy is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free.
We do not verify hosts, attendees, or that events are as described. Listings are created by hosts, not by us.
Where the law allows, Meetsy is not liable for what happens at events, for what other users do, or for indirect losses. Nothing here removes rights you have that cannot be removed by agreement.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Meetsy changes. If a change is significant we will say so on the site.
