Meetsy Event Reminders — what we send, and how to stop it.

What you get

Reminders about events you are personally going to: the time, where to go, your entry QR code, and any change of time or venue. Occasionally, if you separately ask for it, a short note about events near you.

Message frequency varies — it depends on how many events you go to. Most people get a handful a month at most. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt in

Texting is off until you turn it on. Add your phone number to your Meetsy profile, then tick the box you want under Reminders on the same page:

Reminders about my plans — your ticket, door times, and changes to events you are going to.
Events I might like — occasional picks near you. This is a separate box and is never implied by the first.

Both boxes start unticked, and neither is required to use Meetsy, buy a ticket, or RSVP. When you turn reminders on we send one confirmation text:

Meetsy: you're set up for event reminders. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg&data rates may apply.

Hosts can also text an invite to people they know. Those invites name the host, come from Meetsy's number, and carry the same opt-out.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting that number — immediately and permanently, whether or not you have a Meetsy account. Reply START to turn them back on. You can also untick the boxes on your profile at any time.
