The point of Meetsy
Meetsy exists so people can actually meet. That only works if it feels safe to show up somewhere you have never been, to meet people you do not know yet. These rules protect that.
In chats and communities
Be kind. Disagreeing is fine; being cruel is not.
Keep personal details — phone number, address, socials — private until you genuinely trust someone. Our safety bot will remind you if it spots them being shared early. It is a nudge, not a judgement.
No harassment, hate, threats, or unwanted sexual messages. No spam, scams, or selling things unrelated to the community.
At events
Meet in public where you can, especially the first time. Tell a friend where you are going.
Respect the host's rules, the venue, and the people around you. If you are asked to leave, leave.
If something feels wrong, it is enough of a reason to go. Your safety comes before politeness.
If you host
Describe your event honestly — the place, the price, what to expect, and who it is for.
Be reachable. People who bought a ticket should be able to get an answer from you.
Look after the people who show up. If you cancel, tell them and refund them.
Reporting
Every event page and chat has a report option, and it comes straight to us. Tell us what happened and we will look.
We can remove content, take down events and communities, and suspend accounts. Serious safety issues are handled quickly and we would rather hear about it than not.
